Sweet valley high was a series of books written  for teenage girls back in the 1980's (showing my age here) I was a teen then and loved them. I never was really into the teen romance books  of the period much (sweet dreams etc)  but I really did like Sweet Valley High.  It was about these identical twin girls  Jessica and Elizabeth  Wakefield who lived in the fictional town of Sweet Valley in  California who although both pretty and popular were total opposites of one another, Jessica was the more outgoing twin, who was a little boy crazy, liked to hang out with the most popular crowd, was a cheerleade  and  was basically the classic 'popular girl' you see in teen movies and TV shows all the time even in this day and age, but she grew a lot during the series but still remained  classically 'Jessica'and I liked her, but it was her twin Elizabeth whom I always related the most to was a lot more introspectic, she was more serious than her twin and  her friends were the more artsy less popular crowd, and basically pretty much remained with the same guy for most of the series, she also wrote stories and wrote for the  school paper and took school a little more seriously than her sister, and like Jessica she grew and changed throughout the serier but also remained 'Elizabeth'. (which went over 100 books not including the spinoffs ). There was even a TV series made of it that was based on the books in the early 90's. It was very classically 80's and was written long before mobile phones, computers and the internet became such a big part of our lives. Next to the Dark Crystal it was probaby one of the first fandoms I got into  and I still have the entire series here somewhere. And your flip side picture made me smile and think about it, flipside Alicen kind of reminds me of Jessica in how you drew her. Hope that helps.
